2026 WSPE Educational Foundation Scholarship Recipients

During its Annual Meeting on May 9, 2026, the Foundation Board of Trustees selected six community college students to receive $3,000 Engineering Scholarships conditional upon being admitted to an ABET-accredited baccalaureate engineering program at a college or university in Washington.

The recipients are:

1. Callum Russell, Stanwood, WA; applying for admission to the aerospace engineering program at the University of Washington
2. Dorcas Osangiri, Bremerton, WA; accepted to the electrical engineering programs at Seattle University, University of Washington, and Washington State University
3. Emma Nguyen, Auburn, WA; applying for admission to the mechanical engineering program at the University of Washington Tacoma
4. Jaycob Gonzalez, Burlington, WA; applying for admission to mechanical engineering programs at the University of Washington and Washington State University
5. Julizza Gomez, Yakima, WA; applying for admission to electrical engineering programs at University of Washington and Washington State University
6. Athena Tambanillo, Yakima, WA; applying for admission to the environmental engineering program at the University of Washington and the civil engineering program at Washington State University
